Acne

Acne is a common condition in both children and adults, which occurs when pores on the skin become clogged, resulting in a red blemish or cyst on the skin. Acne can come and go in intervals or be a more persistent problem, which can lead to acne scarring. Treatment for acne includes a good skin care routine, topical, or oral medication. In addition to using special skin cleansers and moisturizers, acne can be treated using laser therapy and photodynamic therapy to reduce the appearance of acne and acne scars as well as reduce the recurrence of breakouts. Chemical peels also help exfoliate the skin to unclog pores, reduce acne, and prevent further blemishes.
