Laser Therapy

Vascular and pigmented lesion removal

The Varilite laser is a dual wavelength laser (532nm and 940nm) that is used to remove vascular and pigmented skin lesions as well as reduce the appearance of acne, acne scars, and stretchmarks. The laser can also be used for skin rejuvenation, to treat uneven pigmentation, and to improve skin texture.

Vascular lesions treated include broken blood vessels, facial veins, rosacea, telengectasias, cherry angiomas, spider angiomas, venous lakes and hemangiomas. Pigmented lesions treated include freckles, lentigines, seborrhic keratosis, skin tags and brown spots.

Acne and acne scarring can also benefit from laser therapy, which works to promote healthy skin growth and reduce the appearance of scars or persistent acne. Many patients choose laser therapy for cosmetic reasons for facial acne and scarring. Laser therapy can also help patients diminish the appearance of stretchmarks.

Multiple treatment sessions may be needed for best results depending on the size of the treatment area and severity of the condition. Unlike older technologies, the Varilite laser therapy will not cause any purple discoloration or bruised appearance to the treated area.

Dr. Haven can help patients decide if laser treatment is the best way to treat their skin conditions. Treatment sessions are tailored to each individual patient and performed by Dr. Haven.
